Garden design rock star and master party host Jon Carloftis has returned to his Kentucky roots, and invites the Bourbon Women Association to an exclusive bourbon-in-the-garden-party at his historic Lexington home on May 10.

Carloftis, a 10^th-generation Kentuckian, is one of America’s pioneers in rooftop and small-space gardening.  Over the last 25 years, he has designed gardens and outdoor spaces for the likes of Julianne Moore, Edward Norton, Mike Myers, and Google. Carloftis’ gardens have been featured in Garden & Gun, Sophisticated Living, Southern Living, and In Style magazines.

Of course, what good is a garden without a party? Carloftis has perfected the art of the celebration, and was recently named to The Solonniere 100 annual list honoring America’s 100 best party hosts.

These days, Carloftis designs masterful and enticing outdoor rooms for Kentucky distilleries, including Castle & Key and Maker’s Mark.

Come join the celebration with the Bourbon Herbalist at Carloftis’ home, Historic Botherum, built in 1851 and surrounded by beautiful gardens on a nearly acre lot in downtown Lexington.

Guests will enjoy custom cocktails from Maker’s Mark in the Carriage House, informal tours of the gardens and visits to the Speakeasy. Tour the main house, built with a combination of Greek, Roman and Gothic architectural influences and furnished in a unique blend of antique and contemporary styles.

Tickets are $50 for members, $65 for non-members.  For just $35, you may purchase a seat on a mini bus to enjoy a beautiful springtime ride to Lexington with other Bourbon Women. The bus will depart at 4:45 pm from the Marriott Louisville East located at 1903 Embassy Square Blvd.
