Our Bourbon Women members are real whiskey connoisseurs – we’ve tasted the “new make” distillate right off the still, before it enters the barrel, and of course we’ve tasted bourbon straight from the barrel at the end of its aging process.  But now, thanks to the powerful mother-daughter duo at Jeptha Creed, we’ll have the unheard-of opportunity to taste bourbon in the middle of its aging process, just as the master distillers do.

We’re proud that master distiller Joyce Nethery and her daughter Autumn have been longtime supporters and attendees of Bourbon Women events, and we are excited to see their sprawling distillery in western Shelby County at our next BW event.  If you’ve had the pleasure of talking with Joyce or Autumn, you know that they are passionate about honoring traditions and heritage in local agriculture and distilling, and it shows in Jeptha Creed’s products.

Jeptha Creed is a woman-owned distillery focused on farm-to-table and ground-to-glass products. The “Creed” in Jeptha Creed is simple: the Nethery family believes in creating more than just great spirits, great food and a great time – they are creating memorable experiences.

Both Joyce and Autumn Nethery will join us to share stories about their family, farm and unique distilling process.  Our tour will culminate with a Barrel tasting that compares the Jeptha Creed High Wheat Bourbon New Make, its 1-year Aged Bourbon counterpart and the Jeptha Creed High Rye Bourbon New Make along with its 1-year Aged Bourbon.  You will taste the difference between the Wheat, Rye, and the Jeptha Creed Bloody Butcher Corn, as well as the difference the barrel maturation process makes!
