Bourbon Women Colorado Branch is starting a finishing process series involving whiskey. Our First event will feature Tequila and will be held on Día de los Muertos in honor of one of Denver’s largest celebrations!
Día de los Muertos origin stems back to the Aztecs and is celebrated all over the world. Some of the largest Day of the Dead celebrations outside of Mexico take place in South & Central America as well as in the United States including Los Angele, San Francisco, Albuquerque, San Antonio, Denver and Miami.
We will have a special guest, Kary Penilla-Erhart, who will share how Mexico celebrates and honors loved ones on Día de los Muertos. Kary immigrated to Louisville, Kentucky from Mexico over 10 years ago.
She will speak to the beauty of this meaningful celebration and how tequila is as unique to Mexico as bourbon is to the USA.
