Terms and Conditions for SIPosium 2025 Registration and Ticketing

Welcome to Bourbon Women SIPosium 2025, organized by Bourbon Women Association (“BW”). By purchasing a ticket and participating in the event, you (the “Participant”) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Use of Image, Voice, and Likeness:

The Participant grants BW and its affiliates, representatives, sponsors, and assigns the irrevocable right and permission to capture, use, publish, and distribute the Participant’s image, likeness, and voice, in video, audio, or any other formats, during the event.
The Participant agrees that their image, likeness, and voice may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed without any inspection, approval, or compensation, waiving any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of your image or recording. These materials may be used for diverse purposes, including educational, promotional, or marketing, within an unrestricted geographic area.

2. Data Protection and Privacy:

Personal data collected from Participants, including email addresses, will be used in accordance with the BW’s privacy policy for the purposes of event administration and to provide information about future events and initiatives.
For EU Citizens: BW acknowledges the importance of privacy rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Instead of waiving GDPR rights, Participants are asked to provide explicit consent for the processing of personal data as outlined herein, in compliance with GDPR requirements. Participants have the right to withdraw consent at any time, subject to certain conditions outlined in our privacy policy.

3. Marketing and Communication: By participating in the event, Participants consent to receive email communications from BW and its sponsors for marketing purposes. Participants have the option to opt-out of such communications at any time through the unsubscribe link provided in the emails.

4. Release of Liability and Indemnification:

Release  of Liability: The Participant expressly agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless Bourbon Women, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, sponsors, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, expenses, and any other liability of any kind, directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with the Participant’s attendance at or participation in the 2025 SIPosium, including but not limited to any injury, death, or property damage.

Assumption of Risk: The Participant acknowledges that participation in the 2025 SIPosium involves inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to the risk of physical injury, illness, or property damage. The Participant assumes full responsibility for any and all risks of bodily injury, death, or property damage, whether those risks are known or unknown.

Indemnification: The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney fees, arising out of or in any way related to the Participant’s participation in the 2025 SIPosium.

5. Duration and Amendment: These Terms and Conditions are effective in perpetuity and may be amended by BW with prior notice to Participants. Continued participation in the event following such amendments constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the event is hosted. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved through arbitration or mediation, as agreed upon by both parties.

7. Acknowledgment: By purchasing a ticket and participating in the event, Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

8. Refund and Transfer Policy: All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable unless the Participant has purchased a refundable ticket. If the Participant is unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to another individual, provided BW is notified of the transfer in advance and in accordance with transfer procedures outlined on the event website. Refundable ticket purchases are subject to the terms and conditions of the refund protection provider.
