Bourbon Women is hiring for a part-time contract position for a social media channel manager. We are looking for someone passionate about bourbon who loves to build community and promote events and women-focused initiatives in the whiskey industry across the United States.

Position Overview:

The Social Media Channel Manager will be responsible for the creation, management, and execution of our social media strategy across all national channels. This includes designing graphics, managing content calendars, and engaging with our community to increase awareness and participation in our events and initiatives. This position will be remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Content Creation:

  • Design and create Canva templates for use across event ticketing, landing pages, and social media posts.
  • Generate graphics for events, (i.e. SIPosium National Conference, Women of Whiskey Awards, Not Your Pink Drink National Cocktail Competition, etc.) membership promotions, and retail sales.
  • Generate graphics and post event-related content, including calls for applications, finalist and winner announcements, sponsor thank yous, and promotional graphics for memberships and retail.

Social Media Management:

  • Schedule and publish posts across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and TikTok, etc. adhering to a content calendar.
  • Share and reshare tagged content, branch event reels and posts, sponsor acknowledgements, and engage with our community through social channels.
  • Monitor trends and audience preferences to optimize content and ensure high engagement.

Event Promotion:

  • Collaborate closely with BW staff/leadership to promote Bourbon Women’s events, including but not limited to branch events, the SIPosium National Conference, Women of Whiskey Awards, and the Not Your Pink Drink National Cocktail Competition.
  • Create and implement strategies to increase ticket sales, sponsorships, and memberships through targeted social media campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management and graphic design, preferably in the beverage, lifestyle, or event promotion sectors.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools, especially Canva, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for bourbon culture and community engagement.

Contract Details:

  • This is a contract position.
  • Work will be project-based, with specific deliverables outlined for events, membership drives, and promotional campaigns throughout the year.
