We’ve been getting questions about our Not Your Pink Drink contest and it’s BACK and sponsored by our friends at Beam Suntory! We’re opening submissions through Oct 2, 2022, to find the BEST bourbon cocktail out there, and we want to invite professionals and amateurs alike to submit their best cocktails to win bragging rights and a cash prize! Both Professional and amateur finalists will be chosen to compete in Louisville on Nov 10th, 2022.
We are looking for fabulous cocktails that embody the adventurous spirit of Bourbon Women and celebrate bourbon. But we also want to ensure our members can recreate these great drinks at home. Therefore, entries will be judged on taste, convenience, relevance, appearance, and creativity. Your drink must NOT be PINK!
Beam Suntory has six bourbons for you to choose from: Jim Beam Black, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, Maker’s Mark, Maker’s 46, Maker’s Cask Strength.
Full details are in the submission form but your drink should have no more than 5 ingredients including the bourbon, it should use readily available ingredients or include instructions on creating infusions or syrups, the recipe must include full preparation instructions and garnishes must not be exotic, complex or obscure, and you can enter only one recipe per person.

The finals will be held on November 10th in Louisville, Kentucky, so if you’re selected as a finalist, you’ll need to arrange to join the judges in town to create your cocktail for a bevy of Bourbon Women and the official judges. Finalists will be notified on or about October 13, 2022. Finalists are responsible for their own travel and lodging. Location and time for the event to be announced when tickets for the in-person event go on sale in a few weeks! It’s one of the most fun events of the year AND attendees will get to taste and judge all the finalists to crown a crowd favorite as well!
